Black is graphic and goes anywhere, especially in a modern or industrial interior. Gold adds a warm, elegant touch.
How do I care for a metal light?
A dry microfibre cloth is all you need. No abrasive sponges or harsh products, which scratch the finish.
What kind of light does a metal light give?
A metal shade directs the light: perfect for reading, a desk or above a table.
How high should a pendant light hang above a table?
Between 70 and 80 cm above the tabletop: the table is well lit and the pendant light doesn’t hide anyone’s face.
What size pendant light for my table?
Aim for a diameter of about half the width of the table. Above a long table or a kitchen island, two or three pendant lights in a row look lovely.
Which bulb should I choose?
For a living space, warm white (2,700 K). The fitting to use (E27, E14, G9…) is listed on each product page.

Choosing an industrial pendant light

A black metal pendant gives the room a graphic silhouette. A geometric cage or a diamond shape shows off the bulb and draws lines on the ceiling; a closed dome directs the light onto the table.

Height and number of heads

Above a table, leave about 70 to 80 cm between the bottom of the pendant and the tabletop. A 3-head chandelier suits a table for 6 to 8 people; over a kitchen island, two single pendants in a row are often enough. See all the right pendant light heights.

Exposed bulbs
