Frequently asked questions

All about wooden wall lights

Another question? A real person will reply.

Write to us
Does wood change over time?
Yes, slightly: it develops a patina and may darken a little in the light. That’s the nature of natural wood.
How do I care for a wooden light?
Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid moisture and household cleaners.
A wooden light in a bathroom?
Best avoided near water: moisture damages wood. Keep it for the living room, the bedroom or the hallway.
At what height should I fix a wall light?
In a living room or hallway, between 1.60 and 1.80 m from the floor: the light passes above eye level without dazzling. Above a bed, allow about 30 to 40 cm above the mattress.
Do I need an electrician to fit a wall light?
If there’s already a cable outlet on the wall, wiring it is simple: switch off the power at the fuse box, connect the wires to the terminal, then fix the wall light. If in any doubt, call an electrician.
Which bulb should I choose?
For a living space, warm white (2,700 K). The fitting to use (E27, E14, G9…) is listed on each product page.
Delivery and returns?
Delivery is free across the UK, with no minimum order. You have 90 days to change your mind, and return costs are on us.
About the collection

Our wooden wall lights

A wooden wall light adds a natural, warm touch to a wall. Each wood species has its own tone and grain, so no two wall lights ever look quite the same.

Available with LED or E27 fitting, from Nordic to vintage style, these wooden wall lights dress a bedroom, living room or hallway. Material and type of lighting are specified on each product page.

Our wooden wall lights bring a natural material to the living room or bedroom wall. You will find round or square models in Nordic, vintage or industrial style, with LED or E27 fitting, and a reading light with a swivel head. To choose the right model, read our wooden wall light guide.

Why choose a wooden wall light

Wood instantly warms a white wall or a minimalist room. Its visible grain softens the light and goes well with linen, stone, rattan or black metal. A wooden wall light suits a Nordic interior just as well as a vintage or industrial style.

Where to fit a wooden wall light

Above a bed or bedside table, a wooden reading light with a swivel head directs the light onto your book. In the living room, two wooden wall lights on either side of a sofa or console table create a warm symmetry, fitted at around 1.60 to 1.80 m from the floor. In a hallway, they warm up an often cold passage.

LED or E27 fitting

Models with integrated LED are compact, those with an E27 fitting let you choose the bulb: an amber filament bulb reinforces the vintage feel. To go further, read our complete wooden wall light guide and our ideas for pairing wood and black.
