AlbaMarble wall light for bedroom, natural stone, alabaster white

Wall light formed from a 20 cm diameter disc of alabaster marble, divided down the middle by a thin vertical metal rod and punctuated by a small central disc. The lighting is integrated LED and spreads as a 360° halo all around the disc, along the wall.

Alabaster stands apart from other decorative stones through its translucency: instead of blocking the light, it lets it partly pass through, so the disc glows from within and reveals its veins. The strength of this effect depends on the local thickness of the stone, which naturally varies from one disc to another.

Choice of two metal finishes. The vertical rod and central hub come in gold or black. The alabaster disc is the same in both cases. Gold warms the stone and blends into its cream shade; black, on the other hand, draws a crisp line that emphasises the cut of the disc and echoes dark joinery.

On either side of a bed, the 360° halo draws a ring of warm light on the wall and is enough for reading without cluttering the bedside table. In a hallway, several evenly spaced lights give rhythm to its length. In an entrance hall, the translucent disc remains striking during the day with the light off, as a decorative feature in its own right.
