suspension-en-corde-de-chanvre-style-japonais
Japanese woven rattan pendant light for living room, natural fibre dome

Single-head pendant light whose shade forms a 30 cm diameter dome, hand-woven in fine fibre on a frame with vertical uprights. It is fixed to the ceiling by a round plate and hangs from an electrical cable. The weave lets light filter between the strands.

The dome is built on a framework of vertical uprights around which the fibre is wound row by row. This construction explains the two patterns visible on the shade: a tight weave on the crown, more open on the lower band, where the strands leave regular gaps. As the weaving is done by hand, the winding pitch and the shade of the fibre vary slightly from one piece to another. The bottom opening stays clear: the main beam falls straight down while the sides spread a softer light around.

Material: plant fibre hand-woven on a frame

Diameter: 30 cm

Shape: dome, open at the bottom

Structure: 1 head

Fitting: E27, 1 lampholder

Bulb: not included

Dimming: no, light not dimmable

Power supply: alternating current

Style: Japanese

Warranty: 2 years

Installation: fixed to the ceiling via the plate, on a single electrical outlet, then connected to the mains. In a living room, it works above a reading corner or a console table.
